I watched an episode of Keiser Report on Aljazeera. What was particularly interesting was an interview with Michael Krieger of libertyblitzkrieg.com. He voiced his disatisfaction with the commentariat's views on Trump and spoke about the work of Ken Wilber and Spiral Dynamics.

The substance of this position, an integral one is the following:

The point of this, this myth, is that in evolutionary terms, a new model will arise that will be superior to what preceded it. It will have more explanatory force and it will be all encompassing. That's to say it will consist of the best of previous models and supersede them.
But all of this misses the point. There is no deficiency in current psychosocial and economic models. What Trump represents and instantiates is a regression. Fukuyama is very perceptive in this context:
